Katherine Heigl admits her childhood in a bubble of white and how this experience impacted the way she raised adopted, multiracial kids. In an interview with she spoke about the "Firefly Lane", as well as "Grey's Anatomy", actress revealed her body didn't matter to her, however, after talking to her adoptive sister from South Korea about how society had treated them, she was aware of the stark differences the two were. "I inquired of my sister, Meg, if she had been treated in one manner when she went out in public with our parents and in a different manner in the time she was by herself without them. She responded "Oh sure! Every times!" Heigl admitted to parents, "That made me realise how foolish I was." Heigl admitted she became frustrated and thought she needed to channel her anger towards helping her adopted daughters. Heigl has a four-year old son and a 13-year-old wife, Josh Kelley. They adopted their daughter Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide eight and Black and was adopted in 2012.
